Seven days have passed. The year is no longer new. The excitement of the first day has settled into something more sustainable. This is a good time to pause and notice what you have built.

Look back at the week. What did you do consistently? What did you start but not continue? What surprised you? What felt natural? What felt forced? These observations are not judgments. They are information about what works for you.

Notice what you want to keep. Perhaps you started a morning practice that feels right. Perhaps you discovered a better way to organize your day. Perhaps you found that certain boundaries help you focus. These are not resolutions. They are practices that are working.

Also notice what you want to adjust. Perhaps something felt too ambitious. Perhaps something did not fit your rhythm. Perhaps something needs to be simplified. The first week is when you can still adjust without feeling like you have failed.

The year is long. You do not need to have everything figured out by the end of the first week. You only need to notice what is working and what is not. Then, with that awareness, continue. The first week is complete. The rest of the year is ahead. Build on what works. Adjust what does not. Keep going.
